Rushing Home To Do Nothing?

What you spend your time on, says a lot about yourself.

So, let me ask you straight up…

…how much time do you spend working on, YOU?

I’m talking about skills, dreams, goals, getting better, and moving forward.

If you want to live a life where you do whatever you want, whenever you want, you have to be intentional about it.

It won’t happen by accident.

Yet – I hear this one crazy thing EVERY DAY“Easier said than done, Jay. I don’t have the time to do all that stuff…”

Really?

Let me break it down for you…

Let’s take a day (24 hrs) and break it down hourly to see how you spend it.

Keep reading, this will blow you away.

Let’s say you plan on sleeping 6 hrs every day (most of us can function on that). But, for those who need more, let’s just say 8.

8 out of 24 hours = sleep.

I get it…You NEED rest.

Don’t neglect it.

Maybe you work a job like many people do. It’s 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (with a one hour lunch).

So that means 9 hours of your day you commit to “work.” We can even throw in 2 hours of travel, breaks, in between time, commuting, etc.

So you’re up to:

  • 8 hrs – sleep
  • 11 hrs – work/commute

You still have 5 hrs left at this point!

Now, maybe you have loved ones you want to spend time with when you get home. Or a club or group you spend time with…

Let’s give that 2 hours of solid, uninterrupted family/social time.

Now you’re at:

  • 8 hrs – sleep
  • 11 hrs – work/commute
  • 2 hrs – family/social time

At this point- you STILL have 3 hours left!!

Now, my big question to you is…

…how are you spending that 3 hours?!

  • Are you binge-watching Scandal?
  • Playing NBA 2K17 for hours on end?
  • Sitting on the couch scrolling through social media (just, mindlessly)?
